LuxBox "it news" 11/2004

Hi, I've been receiving the LuxBox "it news" magazine for a while now (no, I didn't consciously get a subscription). It's mostly business oriented, but at least it's totally focused on Luxembourg. This month's edition just arrived today. Oh surprise, there's a whole load of articles about Linux and Open Source: Oracle, IBM, HP, Adecco (this one negative, they moved back from StarOffice to MS Office), Sun, Computer Associates, something by Matthieu Farcot, Neofacto, Novell etc. I can bring this edition to the next meeting, so you may have a look. BGL Webbanking bien compatible avec Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox

Salut, je travaille comme externe à la BGL pour l'instant. Ils m'ont dit qu'une nouvelle version de leur webbanking, compatible avec les browsers de type Mozilla, allait (enfin) sortir fin de ce mois. Nos efforts n'auront peut être pas été vains :-) Fred

Cherche formateu/formatrice pour workshop Linux

Bonjour, Le Tripticon (www.tripticon.lu) cherche un formateur/une formatrice pour un/des workshop Linux de 3 heures. Il s'adresse aux débutants et le caractère "workshop" laisse amplement de place aux besoins et questions des participants. Il ne s'agit pas d'un cours serré de trois heures ex-cathedra. Les participants sont des débutants, une approche technique est absolument à éviter, il faut voir le workshop comme un "appetizer" avec l'accent sur l'approche pratique. Propose des sujets abordés: présentation Linux, logiciels courants (Office, Browser, email), où trouver, fonctionnement, comparaison avec MS Office ... Les workshops se tiendront (suivant disponibilités) à partir du 10 janvier 2005, ou bien un samedi matin ou dans la semaine le soir, avec une durée de 3 heures. Les locaux sont la LinuxStuff à Wilwerwiltz (http://www.sproochenhaus.lu/cms/lin/index.php) et la InternetStuff à Redange (http://www.rw.leader.lu/de/infrastructure_info.php?id=52) Les frais de route sont pris en charge (0.33/km, max 50 km) La rémuneration est d'environ 90 euros par workshop de trois heures. Un support écrit pour les participants fait partie des travaux à réaliser. Ce support devra être mis sous une licence Creative Commons. (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/de/) Un modèle MS Word est à respecter (pas de commentaires Word svp ;-) Une rémunération pour le support est aussi prévue.
