Of couse Cegecom *is* a DSL *and* a flatrate provider!!!!!!
I meant Coditel.

I prefer having a reliable service at 256 Kb/s
(or more) on my poor
Coditel has been very reliable. The only problem was the port 25 issue
which had absolutely nothing to do with Cable technology.
I didn't told that.
I still have a question for you (but please only
answer this and
nothing else): On the Alternet website is written that the promotion
(33 Euro) has been extended until 31. August. You write that 33 Euro
is the new official price but on the website it is marked that 46 Euro
is the official price. Hasn't the website not been updated for over 2
weeks?
Not my problem. I don't work for Alternet. I'm not in charge of their
web site. I just gave an accurate first hand info: Alternet decided the
33 € promotional offer becomes the normal price for this kind of
service, making this offer the best DSL flat rate offer in Luxembourg
for a 256 Kb/s service.
copper cable
than no service at all because I don't live in Coditel
coverage anyway.
DSL isn't universally available nationwide either.
Am I allowed to give just an info that is true and verifiable about a
price for a DSL service without being attacked on everything !
* DSL being a good service (not the point)
* This mail being a hidden advertisement (not the case)
* Coditel being a better offer (irrelevant)
* This being a correct information (yes it is !)
* Alternet giving support (I don't care)
* DSL being universally available (not the point)
* My e-mail being or not part of a previous thread (No it wasn't)
* DSL being comparable to cable-tv service (not the point)
and so on...
If you are not happy with this info, just skip it, but the info IS TRUE.
You can call Alternet for confirmation. I don't understand why you are
so uselessly fighting against this simple information: the Alternet 256
Kb/s flat rate DSL offer at 33 € a month is the best (meaning the
cheapest) offer in Luxembourg at the time. It is true -as far as I know-
and all the noise you tryied to make around this is just lost of time.
Are you working for Coditel or trying to perturbe this mailing-list ?
There is no holy war in there. No reasons to try to hide the facts. Why
are you so heavily trying to throw suspition on this information ? The
only way to make this assertion false is by finding a lower priced flat
rate 256 Kb/s DSL service in Luxembourg, and if it exists, I would be
happy to hear about it. Internet access prices in Luxembourg are still
higher in average than surrounding countries and a way to make them
decrease is by playing the concurence. I just wanted this to happend and
to give the good new I just received directly from Alternet direction to
the members of the list. It does not require any comment.
