Again, it works perfectly for me (Slackware 10.0, Mozilla 1.7.3) - I
visit the site evey now and then and apart from an earlier issue with
the presentation which has been solved since, no problem.
Yes, so? It also works perfectly when I'm using MSIE, which doesn't help
fixing the problem. In general, when someone says he has a problem,
telling him you don't doesn't help much.
The mail I sent to the list wasn't to get help from the list (this is
lilux-info, not help) but to let people know how uncooperative the
person hosting the website was and how it doesn't seem to work well with
Firefox.
In the meantime, one of the Utopolis people contacted me and we're
trying to find the problem.
My suspicions
run from "no support for Firefox" to "some issue with some
settings relative to security/privacy/cookies and such" i.e. the F**g
site tries to do something forbidden and instead of letting the user
know, decides to hang itself and let the user believe that something is
wrong "with him"...
Just to make sure, I just tried on my other machine (SuSE 9.2, Firefox
1.0PR), and no issue there either, even with disallowed cookies
Any other special settings that you might have?
None.
Considering I have the same problem at home and at work and that I don't
control the environment at work, I'd say the problem lies somewhere
else.
I've found that when I'm local admin (at home) I can see the site with
Firefox, but not when I'm a lambda user... this gives some info as to
the source of the problem.
