Pour mon information, le volume est-il illimité chez Coditel ?
No it's not. But:
1. I never had to pay supplemental traffic (and I do download ISOs and
so on)
2. Other ISPs in Lux (like Cegecom) write blue letters to heavy
customers (eDonkey) and recommend them to go to another ISP (I prefer
the Coditel way)
3. Somebody *must* pay the excessive traffic some people generate. I am
happy to know that it will not be me.
Coditel costs 45 Euro a month and you have 10 Gigs traffic a month. If
you exceed this, you have to pay 10 Euro for another 10 Gigs.
Look at your Alternet price: 97 Euro for a 1024Kbit connection. Coditel
offers 1024Kbit for 45 Euro. For 95 Euro, I can download 60 Gigs at
Coditel!!!!! 45 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 95 Euro. At Alternet you even
have to pay 97 Euro if you are in vacation for a month, with Coditel
only 45 Euro.
You may say that 60 Gigs / month are still not as good as a flatrate.
But let's calculate: I have to generate traffic "day and night" at
sustained maximum rate at 1024Kbit for at least 6 full days to generate
60 Gig traffic!!!! Cegecom already writes blue letters to their
"flatrate" customers generating over 30 Gigs / month.
A Flatrate is not a good price model. Some people just generate traffic
because they can. I do not want to help others to finance their excesses.
