Manif contre ACTA, aujourd'hui 11 février 12:30 à la Place d'Armes: venez nombreux!

Le 11 Février les citoyens Européens manifestent contre ACTA - même ici au Luxembourg! En raison de l'impact potentiel de ce traité sur la libre échange d'informations dans les communautés Open Source et du logiciel libre, il est important que nous, Linux User Group Luxembourg, soient présents aussi. Désolé pour l'appel si tardif, mais si vous avez le temps (même si ce sera légèrement plus tard), passez-nous voir à la Place d'Armes! Le 11 Février 2012 à partir de 12h30, à la Place d'Armes on manifestera contre le traité commercial "International Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement" (ACTA). Le Parti Pirate, les Verts, les Jeunes Libéraux, UNEL, déi Lénk et d'autres soutiennent cette action contre le traité. Le traité a été négocié depuis des années en secret sans aucune influence démocratique avec des conséquences potentielles graves sur l'Internet libre, sur la disponibilité de médicaments ainsi que sur le pouvoir d'innovation et la compétitivité de notre économie. "Des dizaines de milliers de personnes ont déjà manifesté contre l'ACTA." dit Sven Clement, président du Parti Pirate du Luxembourg. "Le 11 Février l'Europe se mobilise [1] pour montrer que nous ne sommes pas d'accord si des traités qui peuvent restreindre notre liberté et nos droits civiques sont élaborés en cachette !" ACTA a été critiqué depuis 2006 - les négociations secrètes entre les gouvernements et les lobbyistes de l'industrie ont été connus seulement parce que des parties du texte ont été divulgués sans autorisation officielle. [2] * ACTA confond les aspects fondamentalement différents de la contrefaçon de biens physiques avec la violation du copyright sur Internet, ce qui entraîne des conséquences néfastes sur les droits civiques fondamentaux. Ainsi ACTA exhorte les pouvoirs signataires à obliger des entreprises privées (les FAI) à surveiller le comportement en ligne de leurs clients afin de prévenir et punir des violations du copyright. Les concepts de propriété intellectuelle vétustes seront figés en place, et placés au-dessus des droits du citoyens tels que la liberté d'expression, la vie privée et le droit à un procès en justice équitable. Les conséquences que ceci peut avoir sont déjà visibles à travers toute l'Europe: vidéos indisponibles "dans votre pays" (Allemagne), moteurs de recherche censurés (par exemple, The Pirate Bay en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas), débranchement de l'accès à Internet (par exemple HADOPI en France). [3] * ACTA bloque aussi l'innovation libre et la compétitivité de l'économie. Les règles strictes en ce qui concerne le copyright et le droit des brevets, et les pénalités élevées en cas de violation dissuadent de nombreuses start-ups, innovateurs, et entreprises technologiques en raison du risque financier élevé. Des plaintes au sujet d'éventuelles revendications de copyright ou de brevets, munies d'amendes calculées selon le modèle américain, peuvent ruiner une entreprise innovante avant même qu'elle ne puisse s'établir pleinement. De grandes entreprises américaines de l'industrie du divertissement, qui étaient dès l'origine partie prenante à l'ACTA, bénéficieront des règles strictes qui rendent difficile à leurs concurrents de proposer des produits innovants. [4] * Sous le couvert de la lutte contre les médicaments contrefaits, ACTA représente une menace contre l'accès aux génériques. Les Autorités douanières européennes obtiendront de vastes pouvoirs pour confisquer et détruire des médicaments génériques. Ce génériques seront confondus avec des médicaments contrefaits et dangereux. Avec l'ACTA, l'accès à une médecine de qualité moins chère sera limitée, ce qui touchera surtout les gens hors d'Europe. [5] [6] Face à cet accord non-transparent et non démocratique qui se dresse contre les droits civiques, il n'y a qu'une réaction possible: À bas ACTA! Demo gegen ACTA, heute 11ter Februar 12:30 an der Place d'Armes

Am 11. Februar demonstrieren Europas Bürger gegen ACTA - auch in Luxemburg! Wegen des möglichen Impaktes auf den freien Meinungsaustauch in der Open Source / Free Software Community ist es wichtig dass auch wir als Linux User Group Luxemburg dort anwesend sind. Sorry für die kurzfristige Meldung, aber wenn ihr Zeit habt (oder auch erst etwas später), schaut ruhig vorbei! Am 11. Februar 2012 wird ab 12.30 auf der Place d'Armes gegen das internationale Handelsabkommen Anti-Counterfeiting-Trade-Agreement (ACTA) demonstriert. Die Piratenpartei, Grünen, junge Liberale, und andere Parteien unterstützt diese Aktion gegen das Abkommen, was seit Jahren im Geheimen ohne demokratische Einflussnahme verhandelt wurde und schwerwiegende Konsequenzen auf das freie Internet, die medizinische Versorgung mit Medikamenten und die Innovation und Konkurrenzfähigkeit der Wirtschaft haben kann. "Zehntausende Menschen haben bereits gegen ACTA demonstriert." sagt Sven Clement, Präsident der Piratenpartei Luxemburg. "Am 11. Februar geht ganz Europa auf die Straße [1] um zu zeigen, dass wir es uns nicht gefallen lassen wenn im Geheimen Abkommen verhandelt werden, die unsere Freiheit und Bürgerrechte einschränken!" ACTA wird seit 2006 kritisiert - die geheimen Verhandlungen zwischen Regierungen und Wirtschaftslobbyisten wurden nur bekannt weil Teile des Textes geleaked wurden. [2] * ACTA setzt die grundlegend unterschiedlichen Aspekte der Fälschung physischer Güter mit Verstößen gegen das Urheberrecht im Internet gleich, mit verheerenden Folgen für fundamentale Bürgerrechte. So drängt ACTA die Unterzeichnerstaaten dazu private Unternehmen (ISPs) das Online-Verhalten ihrer Kunden überwachen zu lassen um Urheberrechtsverletzungen zu verhindern und zu bestrafen. Die veralteten Urheberrechte werden zementiert und über die Bürgerrechte wie das Recht auf freie Meinungsäußerung, Privatsphäre und das Recht auf ein faires Gerichtsverfahren gesetzt. Welche Konsequenzen dies haben kann sehen Internetbenutzer jetzt schon in ganz Europa: Videos, die "in deinem Land" nicht verfügbar sind (Deutschland), Suchmaschinen die zensiert werden (z.B. The Pirate Bay in Belgien, Niederlanden) bis hin zu dem Abschalten des Internetzugangs (z.B. HADOPI in Frankreich). [3] * ACTA blockiert freie Innovation und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Wirtschaft. Durch die strengen Regeln was Urheber- und Patentrecht angeht, sowie die hohen Strafen bei Missachtung werden viele Start-Ups, Innovatoren und Tech-Firmen durch das hohe finanzielle Risiko abgeschreckt. Urheber- oder Patentklagen, deren Geldstrafen nach US-amerikanischen Model berechnet werden, können ein innovatives Unternehmen ruinieren bevor es Fuß fassen kann. Führende US-amerikanische Unternehmen der Unterhaltungsbranche, die von Anfang an an ACTA beteiligt waren, profitieren von den strengen Regeln, die es Konkurrenten erschweren werden innovative Produkte anzubieten. [4] * Unter dem Deckmantel des Kampfes gegen gefälschte Medikamente stellt ACTA eine Gefahr für den Zugang zu Generika dar. Europäische Zollbehörden sollen weitreichende Befugnisse bekommen Generika zu konfiszieren und zu zerstören und Generika werden mit gefälschten und gefährlichen Medikamenten gleich gesetzt. Mit ACTA wird der Zugang zu billiger, hochwertiger Medizin eingeschränkt, was vor allem Menschen außerhalb Europas treffen wird. [5] [6] Bei diesem intransparenten, undemokratischen Abkommen, das sich gegen die Bürgerrechte setzt, gibt es nur eine Richtung: Stopp ACTA! Die Stopp-ACTA! Demonstration in Luxemburg findet am 11. Februar 2012 auf der Place d'Armes ab 12.30 statt.
